On November 18th, the BUNI Hub welcomed its very first Hold-Up session to solve a challenge for Apps&Girls, a Tanzanian social enterprise. A Hold-U p is a creative brainstorming that would gather social entrepreneurs and students during a 2 hours-session in order to provide free creative business solutions for social entrepreneurs. The methodology has been implemented by a French organisation called MakeSense. Today, MakeSense community counts thousands of « gangsters » all around the world and has been solving hundreds of challenges for social enterprises. If you want to know more about MakeSense and join the community, please contact Chloé, MakeSense community manager, at email@example.com.
Last week, more than 15 young creative people met at BUNI to help Apps&Girls change parents’ perspective about ICT trainings for their daughters. Apps&Girls is a social organisation based in Dar Es Salaam providing free ICT courses to 10-18 years old girls. With Apps&Girls, Carolyne Ekyarisiima contributes to bridge the gender gap in ICT in Tanzania, and empower young girls with excellent and valuable skills.
Our wannabe gangsters came out with creative solutions for Apps&Girls to convince parents that their daughters would benefit from ICT courses. Be it a concert or an advertisement campaign, gangsters have demonstrated great enthusiasm and genius to innovate for Apps&Girls.
